Chamaeleo arabicus Matschie, 1893 ZMB 11135 (holotype) Lahej near Aden, South Yemen; NHMW 7466:1 same locality Hemipenis with only four elongate rotulae with finely denticulated margins. Calyces deep with serrated margins. This hemipenis ornamentation differs clearly from the one of C. chamaeleon (cf. Klaver 1981 a) of which C. arabicus was considered a subspecific.
