Jardin des Tuilleries are landscaped public gardens and parkland in the central Tuileries Quarter of central Paris. Located close to and west of the The Louvre art museum, and run parallel to and close to the north banks of the River Seine. The gardens were originally created a royal gardens for King Louis XIV, designed by Andre Le Notre in the 17th century. Today they are a popular and attractive garden area for tourists walking and relaxing. Historic and modern art sculptures are situated throughtout the area.
