Jeff Kinyon, Phos-Chek Fire Safety Group, monitors as powdered fire retardant is mixed with water preparing it for use to help control wildfires that are burning in various parts of Texas, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, April 26. Phos-Chek fire retardant includes a red dye and fertilizer which helps airborne crews determine where it has been dropped and promotes plant growth after fires.
