Said to have the power to transport the owner to any part of the world, without hindrance or danger. The design is painted in gold on puce-coloured satin. A talisman from the Enchiridion associated with Pope Leo III. A talisman of Shaddai (the Hebrew name can be seen to the left, just above the right eye. Copied by Grillot de Givry from the grimoire known as the La Clavicule de Salomon: the Latin inscription translates: Behold the face and the figure of him through whom all things were made and [whom] all creatures obey. A talismanic sigil of the demon Barbuel, by which figure he may be called and controlled. From Schiebel's Faustbuch, where the power of Barbuel is linked with control over water. A talisman from an 18th century grimoire, La Clavicule de Salomon in the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. This is designed to ward off attacks, in even the most il-famed quarters of a city. The eight radiants terminate in characters from the sacred alphabet known as the Malachim Script. The Latin is of poor quality, but translates approximately, [The enemy's] sword will pierce his own heart, and his bow will be broken. Another talisman from La Clavicule de Salomon, in Paris. This design is intended to 'force the spirits of Venus to obey', and thus compel any woman to attend within a moment. The poorly scripted Latin text is derived from Genesis ii, recording the words of Adam at the coming of Eve. It translates: This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh, and they will be to two in one flesh.
