He entered Harvard in 1837, grad-uating with the Class of 1841, and in the followingyear matriculated at the Harvard Medical School,where he took the degree of Doctor of Medicine in1845. After spending five years at the WorcesterInsane Asylum as Assistant to his father he wentabroad for further study, remaining in Paris twoyears, and locating in Worcester on his return, hepractised there for the rest of his life, which termi-nated December 30, 1885.
