Their laying qualities dependmuch on the selections and mafcings of tlie parent markings the fowls are very handsome, the hen moreso than the cock. In the main, the feathers are Avhitewith a black border, which makes them evenly andbrightly speckled. The hackle is penciled white andblack, and the tail black. The Wjandottes have grown to be one of the most pop-ular breeds of American fowls. They are more blocky inshape than Plymouth Rocks and a trifle fuller the Silver Wyandottes described above, there arealso the White, Buff, Golden, Black, Partridge andColumbian varieties. The latter are of the same colorand markings as Light Brahmas. AMERICAN JAVAS.
