Anoushkar Shankar is a Grammy nominated Indian clasical Sitar Player and composer. She is the daughter of world renowned Sitar Player Pundit Ravi Shankar and Sukanya Shankar. She was born in London and was named Gitanjali Shankar, is 33 years old and half-sister of Norah Jones. She was trained in Sitar under famous father performed many times with him in music concerts all over the world. She also dabbled in acting in films, is married and lives with her son Zubin Shankar alternately in US, UK and in India where her father had built a Ravi Shankar Music Centre in the diplomatic encalve called Chankaya Puri in Delhi.
