BARNARD Of Bloomfield, was chosen a member of the Gen-eral Assembly, at the last election, by the Demo-cratic party. He was born in Bloomfield, August11, 1828, and is now in his fifty-fourth year. Hewas educated at the common schools, and is afarmer. CHARLES S. TREADWAY Of Bristol, is a native of the town he now repre-sents in the General Assembly, having been bornthere in January, 1848. His education was de-rived from the common schools and the highschool in Waterbury. During his active life hehas been engaged in the banking business, and isnow cashier of the Bristol National Bank. He isa Republican. 95. ELIJAH MANROSS Of Bristol, has already served one term in thelegislature, having been elected a member of theHouse in 1880. In that year he served on theCommittee on Sale of Lands. He was born atBristol, June 27, 1827, and received a common-school and academic education, completing hiscourse of study at Williston Seminary, EastHampton, Mass. Upon entering active life learned the clock business, and was amanufacturer until 1867, when, owing to illhealth, he was obliged to retire and give himselfover to absolute rest. After rugged treatment,including a year and a half passed in the wildsof the Adirondack^, he regained his strength, andnow enjoys good health. Of late years he hasengaged in out door employment.
