Col. Rebecca Sonkiss, 89th Airlift Wing commander takes to the podium, June 15, 2018 during a change of command ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Md. Sonkiss assumed command of the 89th AW from Col. Casey Eaton. Sonkiss is a command pilot with more than 4,200 hours in the T-37B, T-44, EC-130/H, RQ-1A/B, C-130J and C-17 aircraft. She has 24 years of active-duty service and arrived at JBA from Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Wash. where she was the 62nd Airlift Wing commander.
