JIany beautiful country homes are along theroute, and the building of this continuous highway willmean much to the men and women on the farms, mak-ing life more attractive to them and eliminating muchof the forced and tiresome drudgery. ]\Iiss Rittenberry has given much of her time andthought to this project since it was publicly fact, she originated the idea of the Jackson high-way. She has traveled extensively in its interest, andonly a few months since she made a second trip alongthe route of this proposed highway, paying her ex-penses to Chicago and back by selling a copyrightedpicture post card of Andrew Jackson and the Hermit-age.
