Boab tree (Adansonia gregorii), Mornington, Kimberley, Western Australia


Adansonia gregorii is the only boab (baobab) tree native to Australia and iis only found along the north west Kimberley region of WA and in nearby NT. The tree has a variety of uses in Indigenous culture. A flowering kapok tree (Cochlospermum fraseri) is to the left.
