Baby common wombat (Vombatus ursinus). This nocturnal rodent-like marsupial, also known as the coarse-haired wombat, inhabits the mountainous coastal areas of south-eastern Australia and Tasmania. It is a herbivore, feeding on grasses, roots and fungi that it forages for at night.
