These cushions areplainly shown in the illustration, and rest above and belowin cast iron sockets or corner pieces, which are fastenedto the cross sections of the sills. Steel springs may be personal witness. The extra expense of this truck is ver}slight compared with the advantages it gives, not to men-tion the saving in the prolonged life of the car.
