The weath-er which has been very warm all weekhas cooled off and from now on wecan a much more satisfactorystate of things. The first week in Oc-tober will usher in the annual fall fes-tivities. The Veiled Prophets ball, theparade of the Million club, and laterthe horse show, will undoubtedly causean increase in the demand for all kindsof flowers. Asters are about over,a few stray ones here and there appear-ing. Tuberoses are a little more plenti-ful, American Beauty continues to ar-rive and is eagerly sought, being soldalmost before it is taken out of theboxes. Carnations are improving, En-chantress especially. Stock is coming inin increased quantities and very muchimproved in quality. From all accountschrysanthemums will be plentifu
