Mr. Snyder was known as a thrifty and successful farmer, whosewell cultivated domain and attractive surroundings were evidence of his enterprise and prosperity. For a longseries of years he was trustee of the public school and at the time of his death in 1895 was a director of theWalden National bank, which position he had filled for many years, greatly to the financial interests of that in-stitution.
