The 17th century Customs House on the Purfleet Quay, King's Lynn, designed by Henry Bell.
The Customs House in King's Lynn was designed by the architect Henry Bell and built at the cost of Sir John Turner in 1683 as a Merchants' Exchange. The ground floor was originally open to the street and used by merchants for trading with Customs occupying the top floor, however by 1717 the whole building was occupied by Customs. The building now contains the town's Tourist Information Office.
