Mirror decoration of the Royal Charles, 1667, 1857 - 1859 print The mirror decoration of the English flagship De Royal Charles, captured during the trip to Chatham on June 22, 1667 by the State fleet under Admiraal de Ruyter. Mirror decoration representing the English royal weapon of Charles II surrounded by the order of the garter. The ship was dragged to the Maas and demolished in Hellevoetsluis in 1673, but the mirror decoration has been preserved. Netherlands paper parts of ship's exterior. Raid on the Medway
