A developing auroral arc in the darkening twilight, September 8, 2018, at Tibbitt Lake near Yellowknife, NWT, at the end of the all-weather Ingraham Trail road. The Big Dipper and Arcturus are at left; Capella and the Pleiades are rising at centre; the Andromeda Galaxy is at top right. The aurora developed into a fantastic display later in the night after midnight. This is a panorama of 7 segments, each 30 seconds with the Sigma 14mm Art lens at and Nikon D750 at ISO 1600. Star glows are from the light cloud present. Stitched with Adobe Camera Raw.
