BANDAGES OF THE TRUNK. 73 Use.—This bandage is employed to support the breastand to make compression at the same time; it may also beemployed to hold dressings to the breast. Two Boilers Two and a Half Inches in Width,Seven Yards in Length.—The initial extremity of thebandage should be secured by oblique turns of the axillaand shoulder, passing under one breast, as in the precedingbandage ; the roller should next be carried transverselyaround the back to the other breast, then under the breastand upward over the opposite shoulder, then obliquelydownward around the chest to the other side, being carriedtransversely over the lower portion of both breasts to thepoint of starting upon the back. Repeat these obliqueturns from the shoulder to the breast and from the breastto the shoulder, and alternate them with a transverseturn around the chest and over both breasts. Both seriesof turns should ascend, and each turn should overlaptwo-thirds of the preceding one (Fig. 73). Use.—This bandage is employed to support and com-press both breast
