Bill sharply hooked, somewhat broad at the base, and profusely furnished with rictal bristles; the exposed culm en is about 16 mm. and about equal to the tarsus in length. Wing rounded, the fourth, fifth, and sixth primaries longest, the third shorter than the sixth and longer than the seventh. In the type of the genus.
