He was the first to have a daffodil window; last ?week he specialized in hyacinths and azaleas, with stunning effects. A call at C. A. Epperson's nursery proved that everyone there was busy. "This is Mr. Epperson's second year of business. He says he is entirely satis- fied with trade to date, and that there is a big future outlook. Wilkinson & Baxter, of Gladstone, •Ore., have been shipping a nice lot of Asparagus plumosus to this market. "The local growers have about exhausted their cut. Hans Niklas has returned from his ihoneymoon trip to Canada. Frank Luepke, of Vancouver, Wash., reports an exceedingly busy week, with an amount of funeral work and deco- rating that made it necessary to call on the local market for additional stock. O. C. Hughec has opened a butcher shop at Washougal, Wash., as a side line. He has a good man in charge of his greenhouses at Camas, Wash., where he grows carnations, greens and vege- tables.
