Its shape is best shown in the illustration. (See Fig. 95.) Unless careful focusing and proper shading of the light be em-ployed, it will certainly escape detection. (See Fig. 94.) Representing, as these hyaline casts do, the least degree ofpathologic or at least of inflammatory change, it becomes at timesa difficult question to determine their significance and correctlyestimate their importance. Some observers report them aspresent in nearly every urine if the centrifuge be employed.
