The ngalawa is a traditional double-outrigger canoe used by the Swahili people living in Zanzibar and on the coast of mainland Tanzania. It has two outriggers, a centrally-placed mast, and a single triangular sail. It is used for short distance transport of goods or people, as well as for coastal fishing. Photographed at Jambiani, Zanzibar, Tanzania.
