Panoramic view of the Thames in Oxford, early on a fine summer morning. We are standing on a rowing finishing float in the middle of the river, with Christ College Water Meadows, so called because of their predisposition to flooding on our left. On the opposite bank of the river, we see a line of houseboats moored by the Thames Walk in Oxford, England. This stretch of the path is much beloved by walkers, joggers and cyclists. As is the river by sports and leisure boaters.
