Multiferroic test samples. Multiferroic tri-layer test samples used in the measurement of the magnetic induced magnetoelectric (ME) coupling coefficie

Multiferroic test samples. Multiferroic tri-layer test samples used in the measurement of the magnetic induced magnetoelectric (ME) coupling coefficient. Multiferroic materials exhibit two or more ferroic properties simultaneously (ferromagnetism, ferroelectricity and ferroelasticity). The coupling between the material's intrinsic electric and magnetic fields is known as magnetoelectric (ME) coupling. This can be induced either magnetically or electrically, and the ME coupling coefficient is used to describe the effect.
