Plant growth isexcellent. Seems to do well everywhere andespecially so in all the Northern States. If you want the true MASCOT plants giveme the order, as I positively know that thereare two varieties being advertised under thisname. The other variety is mid-season tolate and small, poor fruit. My stock of plants is very large but I havea wonderful sale for the plants. If you want. MASCOT a variety to prolong the season get this one,sure, for they surely ripen long after theother spring croppers are gone. Nothinglater but the ever-bearing kinds. MYRTLE MERRILL—An early varietythat originated in Somerset county, Mary-land, a few years ago. We hear very goodreports of it from Marion Station, where thebest extra early varieties are always in de-mand. They claim it to be better than EyOzark, or Wilkins Early, Fairfield Excelsior,etc. I think it worthy of a trial; is a goodstrong grower and free from rust. MOXROE—A late perfect flowering va-riety that originated in New York large, firm, of extra good quality; is astrong plant maker; while it has not fruitedwith me I think it a good one to try.
