Lang Hieu - Hue, Vietnam


Lang Hieu - Tomb of the emperor Lang Minh Mang (1791-1841, ruler from 1820 to 1841). The tomb of the second ruler of the Nguyen dynasty is located 12 km ousite the city of Hue. The royal tomb was build from 1840 to 1841 (completed by Lang Ming Mangs son Tuu Trach) after a period of more than 14 years of astrological research to find a good / the right / best place. The complex consists of an oval shaped garden of 700 by 350 meters (45 hectare or 111 acres) with several pavilions and lakes. Typical for the tomb complex is the wide and very clear structure.
