OCEAN (Aug. 7, 2007) - The guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) fires a surface-to-surface Harpoon missile during Valiant Shield 07. Fitzgerald is part of the Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group, which operates out of Yokosuka, Japan. The Kitty Hawk, John C. Stennis and Nimitz Carrier Strike Groups are participating in Valiant Shield 2007, the largest joint exercise in the Pacific this year.
