. Annali del Museo civico di storia naturale di Genova. Natural history. 388 R. I. POCOCK Legs with tarsal segment attenuate and furnished with a single spine above the terminal claw. Antennce with apical segment, nearly cylindrical, only slightly thickened. Vulva (fig. 2, A) with proximal sclerite almost divided into two by the generative orifice; distal sclerite or cap large with straight inner border and convex outer border. cf. Differs from the female in having the apical antennal segment more di- lated and the anal tergite more saddle- shaped, its inferior edge being consi- derably produced. Forceps closely resembling those of Z. dorioej, the second (larger) pair (fig. 2, B) not differing in any essential respect from those of that species. In the first pair, however, the movable dactylus is distinctly bifid at the extre- mity (fig. 2, C, D). Length up to 37 mm. Locality; Carin Ghecu (Village of Thao 1200-1500 m.); Carin Chebà or Biapò (Villages of Puepoli and Meteleo 900-1200 in.). Collected by Sig. L. Fea. The form of the copulatory feet points to relationship between this species and Z. dorim, Pocock and /ece, Pocock, but in other respects it is totally distinct. Thus the tergites are minutely striate and the anal tergite is markedly saddle-shaped. In the latter character it resembles, as it does also somewhat in colour, Z. tigrina of Zephronia formosa Zephronia semlltevis sp. u. Colour; posterior portion of tergites piceous, anterior portion ochraceous or pale rufous ; anal tergite ochraceous, sometimes irregularly clouded with darker patches. Head deeply and closely punctured below, sparsely Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Museo civico di storia naturale di Genova (Italy).
