Mary I, Queen of England from 1553, (1932). Mary Tudor (1516-1558) was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his first wife, the Catholic Catherine of Aragon. The fourth and penultimate monarch of the Tudor dynasty, she is remembered for her attempt to return England from Protestantism to Roman Catholicism.
