The dance was a remark- able success and they both feel well paid for their time and hard work. The hall was highly decorated and every per- son who attended the dance wore a flower. They engaged one of the finest bands in the city and, as Mr. Prokos puts it, "the music just made the people ; Mr. Shaffer was in charge of the refreshments and Mr. Prokos was director of the dancing. Mr. Prokos was a dancing master for eight years in Washington and Atlantic City and won prizes on many occasions. It was through his originality in dancing that he met his present wife. When the war started, he gave up dancing for more essential work; later he was employed by Z. D. Blackistone and he is now manager of Mr. Blackistone's store. Various Notes. Z. D. Blackistone had an attractive window display for Thanksgiving. It consisted of a table spread with a fine Thanksgiving dinner, which included glasses containing several varieties of fine wine. There was an unusually large crowd of spectators on hand and they all left with a smile on their faces, thinking of the good old times. Many people took special pains to go in and ask, "Is it real?"
