The Publisliers of the Glasgow Post-Office Directory beg to express their thanks forthe liberal patronage bestowed on the work during the long period of sixty-six has ever been their desire that the information it contained should keep pace withthe progress and general requirements of the City of Glasgow, and every effort hasbeen made to render it as accurate and complete as possible. The Publishers,however, do not hold themselves responsible for any error or omission. At the beginning of the book will be found a Map of the Environs of Glasgow,the Almanac, Tide Tables, Phases of the Moon, &c. The City Chamberlain and , the City Assessor, have kindly supplied Statistics of the Population of theCity and Suburbs (see page 32), as estimated for the midsummer of 1894; theParliamentary and Municipal Voters for 1893-94,
