London, England. 1953. A view of Admiralty Arch from The Mall, near Trafalgar Square. The Arch is decorated with a large Royal Cypher and Royal Ensign flags, especially for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, which took place on 2nd June 1953. In preparation for the procession, a temporary stand had been erected adjacent to the arch. In the foreground is Malaya House, which has been decorated with flags.
