Alfalfa or Lucerne Clover— This clover is being more largely planted in the South every year. When thoroughly established can be cut three or four times a year, yielding heavily each cutting. Soil must be thoroughly prepared by deep plowing and har- rowing until it is in fine condition. Sow 20 to 25 lbs. per acre. Spring seedings may be made during March and April, and in the fall during September and October on any good soil if properly drained. 1 lb. 40c, parcel post paid. For price on larger quantities, see Yellow List enclosed. Melilotus or Sweet Clover—A hardy perennial clover, grow- ing wild in many sections, particularly the prairie states. Flowers furnish abundant forage for bees. Also a soil builder. Sow 12y2 lbs. to the acre in March and April. The white blossom is the best variety. 1 lb. 40c, parcel post paid. Burr Clover—An annual variety which is sown in August and September. Makes superior pasturage, fair hay, and grows on any thin land, and if turned under the following spring act
