Egyptian goose with a family of young chicks in Kruger Park, They are most abundant and widespread of water-dwelling species and can be seen at any time of the year in most rivers,dams and pools. Walking slowly in the shallow water or along the bank, they search for soft and tasty bits of vegetation such as freshly sprouted grass and algae. They appear to breed throughout the year.
