From the first, the Bureau met with success, be-coming the leading Bureau of its kind in the world. During the period of1874-1908 over one hundred thousand lecturers and concert engagements werenegotiated, in various parts of this country, Canada and Mexico. Mr. Slaytonretired from active management of Ihc Bureau in November, 1008, ard removedto St. Petersburg, Fla., where he made his home until his death. The following. 706 NORWICH UNIVERSITY.
