Common opossum skull. Skull of an opossum or manicou (Didelphis marsupialis). This is a marsupial species living from the northeast of Mexico to Bolivia where it is called manicou. It prefers the woods, but can also live in fields and cities. Two thirds of an opossums diet is carnivorous, consisting of insects, mice, grubs and earthworms.
