Roman Phyrigian style doorstone funerary stele of Hesperis, 250-300 AD, Oturak Turkey. Louvre Museum Ma3317. A typical stele of Asia Minor depicting a door to the afterlife decorated with objects of everyday life evoking the social status of the deceased. Its style is of a temple door behind which is the world of the gods. Inscription in greek is an epitaph to Heperis by her husband Asclépiadès-2 lines engraved on the lintel and 2 lines at the top of the leaves Marble Height: 56 cm; Width: 37 cm; Depth: 8 cm.
