They are to be operated in one direction and onlythe front platform is vestibuled. The seating capacity is for 56and the spring cane seats are stationary and have high backs. Thelength of the seats is 35^4 • and the aisles are 19 in. wide. Thesmoking compartment in the forward end seats 16 passengers. Thelower sashes of the windows may be held at any point by the locksbeing released against serrated bronze bars set into the posts.
