Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. Double decker bus travelling on a section of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway (CGB). The CGB was built between 2007 and 2011. The buses here use small horizontal guide wheels (see image C011/6597). This section of the route runs between Cambridge and St Ives, UK, and was built on what used to be the Cambridge and Huntingdon railway. The tarmac path at right is a cycle lane. The bus is an Enviro400, operated by Stagecoach, with free Wi-Fi service. It runs on biofuel that is obtained from recycled food waste. Photographed on 15 August 2011, a week after the CGB first opened.
