Forsyth Barr Building, 764 Colombo St; corner with Armagh St, Christchurch, New Zealand. Seen from Victoria Square. 18-storey; 70 meter high (230 feet) Forsyth Barr Building is one of the few high rise buildings that may survive demolition after the February 22 earthquake. The internal staircases collapsed and occupants were trapped in the tower during aftershocks. Architects: Warren and Mahoney (1989)
