A solicitors offices vandalised in Tottenham North London, staff survey the damage following the riot of Saturday night.
A series of riots have taken place across London affecting most boroughs, with gangs of youths committing acts of looting and violence. Shops and businesses have been looted, damaged and set alight causing millions of pounds worth of damage and leaving a large number of people homeless. Police and fire crews have been stretched to breaking point with the sheer number of incidents going on, fire crews have been unable to enter many areas because of ongoing violence and disorder leaving buildings to burn until police can secure an area and provide protection to firefighters. Trouble erupted in North London following a vigil held outside Tottenham Police station following the fatal shooting of a local man by police. Gangs of youths rampaged through Tottenham settling police vehicles alight and looting many shops and businesses, copycat disorder spread to all four coiners of London in the following nights with major rioting occurring across the city.
