A statue of a Chinese dragon turtle sits near an entrance to the Mirage casino and hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. In Feng Shui, the dragon turtle is a symbol for luck, success and longevity, three things that any gambler entering a casino wants. A dragon turtle statue contains two of the four celestial elements from Chinese mythology: the dragon and the turtle. The turtle symbolizes longevity, while the dragon symbolizes success. Some dragon turtle statues depict the creature sitting on a pile of gold coins.
