It is noted that the word Ringer appearson several of the train icgisters and to find whatthe word implied at that time inquiry was madeof several men, old in the service. Colonel W. J. LaVelle, of Tunnelton, who hasbeen connected with the road for a number ofyears, advises that the word Ringer was usedto embrace twelve trains in a convoy that weremoved successively in one direction. He statesit was unusual to get a Ringer in a convoyand that the meaning of the word implied
