The vehicle was located in 2012, but the Soldiers' remains have never been recovered. Rohling and a group of senior staff members from his Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) headquarters visited Torbole and other points along Lago di Garda to reflect on the history of the 10th Mountain Division as it fought against the German defensive front in Italy near the close of World War II. SETAF-AF leaders conducted what the Army calls a "battle staff ride" to understand important tactical, logistical and leadership challenges facing military decision-makers in previous generations.
