Special care baby unit (SCBU) monitor being used in a hospital baby ward. Special care baby units are for newborn babies that need a certain level of care, but not as much as those needing intensive care. This monitor, from Philips, is showing heart rate (HR), blood oxygen content (SpO2), respiration rate (RR) and other vital signs such as the pulse. The display is warning of extreme bradycardia, a slow or irregular heartbeat. For infants, bradycardia is defined as a heart rate of less than 100 beats per minute (here, it is 79). Photographed in the UK.
