Yellow Eyed Penguin standing on rock at Enderby Island with crashing wave seen in background.
Medium sized Penguin who has just emerged from the sea and still has water droplets visible over the body. Taken with Nikon F4 and Nikon 80-200 lens. Walking around Enderby Island gave numerous opportunities to photograph this Penguin. They are usually shy and are found singly or in small groups. They nest on coastal cliffs or in the nearby Rata Forest. Their nesting habits are usually singly or in small groups as well. This is in contrast to many other Penguins that nest in large dense groups.
