Milwaukee, Wis.—The Currie Broth- ers Company is sending out 100,000 cata- logues this season, and they are already busy with advance orders. Hunkel's Seed Store reports trade far in excess of previous years. B. F. Brown, of the Brown Bag Filling Machine Company, who has been in Chicago for the past three weeks installing his machines, left February 6 for his home town, Fitchburg, Mass., by way of Detroit and Washington, D. C. At the annual meeting of the Tri- State Grain and Stock Growers' Associ- ation, held at Fargo, N. D., the latter part of January, the matter of the dis- tribution of free seeds by the govern- ment was brought up and there was a lively discussion on it. Finally the mem- bers in attendance unanimously agreed, condemning the free distribution of seeds by the government as
