The wreck of the Maheno on the Eastern beach, Fraser Island, Australia. The Maheno was a trans-Tasman passanger liner. Sold for scrap metel to Japan, it was being towed northwards on July 9, 1935 when a cyclone hit. The tow cable broke and it was driven high onto the beach by the wind and waves.
