GB - DEVON: Thatcher Rock along the Torbay Coast


Thatchers Rock below the pine trees is the biggest of the 'Rock Islands' off Torquay. It stands nearly 45m high and is just 200m from the end of Meadfoot Beach nearest Thatchers Point, where undoubtedly it was once attached. Due to the strong tidal flows in the area, the current loving marine life is more abundant here than in many of the sheltered bays.
